Reload IFCs Interface

The Reload IFCs menu is composed of the following features:

  • 1 -> Path to Settings File: this is used to create the Settings file or to link an existing one to the Reload IFCs plugin.

  • 2 -> Monitored IFC Directories: this reports the directory of the folder where the IFC files are saved and the amount of IFC files contained in the folder.

  • 3 -> IFC Synchronization Settings:

    • Existing Links Reload Strategy: here there are two options, Reload All (reloading all the IFC files again in the Revit file) or Reload Updated (reloading only those IFC files that have been modified since the last time when they were loaded in the Revit file).

    • Add New Files as New Link: it creates a link for an IFC file that had not been loaded before

    • Remove Links With No Matching File: it removes those links that do not exist anymore in the folder where the IFC files are saved

    • Delete Old Links Backups: it eliminates the old backups of IFC files contained in the folder where the IFC files are saved

    • Materials Template File: this is a link to specify a file that standardizes the materials of all the loaded IFC files in the Revit project.

  • 4 -> IFC Synchronization Status: this window reports the status in the Revit file of the IFC files contained in the folder.

  • 5 ->These buttons are to save the settings created for future sessions within the same Revit file, to execute Reload IFCs and to close the Reload IFCs plugin.
