Creating Schedules

Metrics allows you to create schedules introducing the following parameters: Geometry, Category and Formula. Given a file where you have already assigned these parameters to Rhino geometry go to the Schedules panel and click on New. Choose a name for your schedule, for example Cost per program, and select the parameters that you want to represent in the schedule. Click then on Save. If you click on Close, the operation will be cancelled. Then double click on the schedule to open it.
If by any chance you select Number or Text parameters when creating a schedule, you will get a warning saying that "Schedules cannot contain text or number parameters".
The schedules will be organized according to the subcategories in the Category Parameter included in the schedule. If there are objects that contain the Category Parameter, but have not been assigned a subcategory, the schedule will report this as an “empty” subcategory.
If you modify the geometry while the new schedule is open, you will see that the information is automatically updated.
However, if you prefer to have several Metric panels open simultaneously, like Parameters and Schedules, and if you have one schedule opened, then you will see that the data is not automatically updated. In this case, simply click on the Refresh button in the Schedules panel.
If you get this message when opening a schedule that you just created: “Whoops! There is something wrong with this schedule…”, this means that not all parameters of the objects that Metrics is considering to create the schedule are properly assigned. For example, all objects can have a Formula Parameter assigned and a Number Parameter that modifies that formula, but maybe not all objects have a Geometry Parameter, area, assigned, so the formula is not working in all of them.
You can also export the schedule into a .csv file, so that you can you use the data with other platforms, like Excel. To do this go to the Schedules panel and open the corresponding schedule by double clicking on it, click on Export and choose the folder where you want to save the file. The .csv file generated will have the same name as the Schedule in Metrics.
Finally, if you want to delete a schedule just go to the Schedules panel, select the schedule that you want to remove and click on Delete.
